There are many benefits to outsourcing payroll.
- Processing payroll is a time-consuming process, and by outsourcing your payroll you immediately free up precious time. You only need to worry about payroll once a pay period, allowing you more time to focus on your business.
- You save money. Calculate how many hours your employees spend on payroll-related activities, such as calculating the payroll each pay period, printing, signing, and distributing paychecks or deposit slips, software purchases and computer maintenance, training and support, keeping up with changes in tax rates and laws, making tax payments, filing payroll returns and issuing W2’s, and compare them to the costs of outsourcing payroll. You’ll be surprised how much you will save by outsourcing your payroll.
- It helps prevent mistakes. By hiring professionals whose sole responsibility and focus is payroll, you minimize the chances of errors, missed deadlines and incorrect filings or payments.
- By outsourcing payroll, you can take advantage of expertise that payroll providers have. Payroll providers are on top of labor codes and legislations, making it easier for you to stay compliant.
- It helps prevent the risk of identity theft, embezzlement of funds, and tampering with company files. Payroll providers invest in state-of-the-art systems for storing and protecting your data, keeping your information safe and secure.
Churches and non-profit organizations have different reporting requirements than for-profit businesses. They aren’t subject to federal unemployment and often aren’t subject to state unemployment. When the non-profit is a church, some particular regulations and exemptions apply, specifically when paying ministers. If the person processing the payroll for the church is unaware, it can lead to costly payroll errors and overpayment in payroll taxes.
The Resources tab has more information on the church and non-profit payroll. There is a section under Forms dedicated to church and non-profit payroll. Take a look at our Blog if you’d like more information.
We’ll discuss the payroll needs of your business, such as how many employees you have, how often you pay them, if you have multiple business locations or any special payroll situations. We’ll provide you with a payroll quote, in writing, outlining the services covered and our monthly fee. You’ll fill out a few forms, provide some information and documents, and we’ll do the rest. If you are switching payroll services mid-year, we enter all year-to-date information and do an audit of the payroll to make sure that taxes and pay were calculated correctly and uncover any potential issues. Once we have all the information in our software, we will let you know and will start processing your payroll.
No. We use SaaS – Software as a Service. You can access our software from any device that has internet access. You don’t have to download anything on your computer, tablet or smartphone and waste precious storage space. Simply go to our website, click on ‘Payroll Login’, and you are in.
All of our payroll services include our Employee Self-Service portal. Within this portal, your employees can view and print their pay stubs (and more!). The Employee Self-Service portal eliminates the need for you to be the middleman and is available whether you pay your employees via direct deposit or paper checks.
If you have any paper checks, we strongly recommend that you print them at your business. We will work with you to set up the check printing so your payroll administrator can deliver the checks to the employees.
If you prefer to give your employees paper pay stubs, your payroll administrator can print a copy of each pay stub from the employer portal and deliver them to the employees.
There are multiple submission options that you can choose from, depending on your organization’s needs.
If your employees are predominantly salaried, we can set it up so that those employees are regularly paid on your normal pay day, without any additional work from you. You’ll only need to contact us if there is a change to payroll.
If you have a mix of salaried and hourly employees, you could submit hours as easily as via email. No need to submit anything for your salaried employees, we will pay them unless you tell us not to.
We recommend our Time Tracking add-on (available with the Value Plan) if you have a lot of hourly employees. Integrated with our payroll software, your employees punch in and out, you approve time and then payroll is done! Our software also integrates with QuickBooks Time. Our Plus and Premium plans have a time tracker included for no additional fee.
If you are more hands-on, you can choose to enter the employee and payroll data yourself, directly in our free online portal.
We will work together to find the best solution for your needs.
Most of our clients take advantage of our free employer portal, where you can view payroll records, filings, employee data and yes, payroll reports. The reports are available immediately after payroll is completed and are available in pdf or csv format.
If you choose to have your payroll reports emailed, they will be password protected.
Yes! Our payroll software is compatible with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. Our payroll software integrates seamlessly with both platforms, so you never have to manually enter payroll into your accounting software again!
After we process your payroll, your payroll and tax funds will be withdrawn from your business account. Your tax payments will be sent electronically to the IRS, the state and any city/local agencies as required.
We take care of your payroll filings, including any monthly, quarterly and annual returns that are required for your business, whether it be for the IRS, the state or a city/local agency. Your W2’s & W3 will be filed at the end of the year and will be submitted to the Social Security Administration. You will receive copies of these filings for your business records.
We work with multiple payroll vendors to provide the best possible solution for you and your organization. In most cases, if you want to keep the software you are currently using but would like us to take over as your payroll service provider, it is as simple as allowing us access to your account.
You will receive a monthly invoice from QuickBooks Online that can be paid via credit card or bank draft. We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
You can also send us funds via Zelle, Paypal, ApplePay, Bill.com, or an ACH transfer.
There are no processing fees for any of our payment options.
